Milestone
The 5th and final book in my series had the most successful launch to date. It had more preorders than any of the other installments and the best release day.
Why are you Proud?
The success of the launch tells me people were enthusiastic about the book. The book had a lot of significance for both myself and the characters, so it means a lot that readers were excited for the payout as well.
What Have You Learned?
Keep going, no matter how slowly you work. Even if you’re not a very fast writer, the readers who value your work will stick with you.

Milestone
I've been a traditionally published author since 2007. Last year I ventured into indie publishing and published a total of 10 books of which 8 were indie-pubbed! It was an incredibly steep learning curve but so satisfying.
Why are you Proud?
I'm thrilled to have gone from 0 to 8 in one year. My head is imploding with all the new information. Very grateful to organizations like ALLi which helped! The best part is that I have a much deeper understanding of not only the creative side of publishing but the marketing aspect, too. My new-found and hard-earned knowledge is now being applied to my trad-pubbed books. While I'm not yet a 6, 5, or even a 4 figure author, I know it's just a matter of time and perseverance.
What Have You Learned?
Two things : Patience and Organizational skills.
Being a Publisher in my own right, and having to manage every aspect of publishing a book (from idea conception to sale), I've had to learn how to organize my time and prioritize tasks.
