My ALLi author guest this episode is Ivan Wainewright, whose second book, The Other Times of Caroline Tangent, recently won the 2022 Selfie Award for fiction. It was presented to him at the Author HQ corner of the London Book Fair in early April. He was so surprised that he had won the award that acknowledges the best UK self-published books of the year, he had to run across the hall to the ALLi stand to fetch his book. But, as we'll hear in this episode, Ivan has been preparing to write this book for most of his life. I'll let Ivan Wainewright tell his story.

Inspirational Indie Author Interview. Ivan Wainewright: About the Author
Ivan Wainewright lives in Kent (England) with his partner, Sarah and their neurotic rescue Staffie, Remi. Before moving to Kent, he lived in North London, Leeds and Singapore. In April 2022, he won the 2022 Selfies Book Awards for fiction for his second novel, The Other Times of Caroline Tangent. The awards recognise the best independently published books, and are judged not just on the quality of the writing, but also on the success of the author’s PR and marketing campaign, sales success and overall production values, including cover design. An avid music fan all his life, he's enjoyed gigs from being packed in at The Marquee in Wardour Street to many muddy festivals. When not writing, he can be found watching (and occasionally) playing football, running, listening to music from Chumbawamba to Led Zeppelin, arguing over politics and trying to cook. He has been an independent IT consultant for many years, working solely with charities and not-for-profit organisations.
