Report Finds Half of Writers Support AI Licensing Deals

The Authors’ Licensing and Collecting Society (ALCS) surveyed over 13,500 writers about their concerns with AI licensing deals, revealing that 71 percent are worried about their work being used to train AI without compensation. While half of respondents support licensing agreements, the standout finding is that 81 percent trust ALCS to handle such deals, compared to only 4 percent who trust publishers.
