Here are a few highlights:

On Social Media Book Marketing Through Twitter

Readers really love Twitter. They go there to chat with their favorite authors. It’s a wonderful equalizer. You can talk to movie stars and musicians and of course other authors, but the main thing that you really want to focus on is connecting with readers and there are some wonderful strategic ways to do that. .

On the Best Social Media App

I like HootSuite better than TweetDeck because HootSuite allows you to import pretty much every account like known to man.

  1. This doesn’t deliver what the headline promises, but instead just explains how Twitter works. That’s it. A Twitter tutorial. Rather frustrating! Really, this isn’t helpful enough for marketing books, it’s just blah blah on how Twitter works.
Sorry but I had to switch this off halfway through. It was a waste of time. Apologies for the rant, but I was expecting something different given what the headline says. Should have read “Let me explain Twitter to you. And you can also mention your book in a couple of tweets…”
