Milestone

As a disabled pensioner of a certain age with very limited education, I have just published my 12th book.

Why are you proud?

After being on dialysis for 32 years and being told at the age of 21 that I would be lucky to reach the age of 60, I'm now fast approaching my 70th birthday. Needless to say that I am very proud indeed.

What have you learned?

Never give up, without my writing I would have been dead years ago. Through my podcast that I made I also inspire others. Life is too short!

Milestone

My first book titled Japanese Cult Cinema: The Best of the Second Golden Age Selected Essays & Reviews was released on 20th May 2023. It reached number 1 in its category, where it stayed for one week during the pre-order period.

Why are you proud?

My goal with this first book was to take myself through the entire self publishing process, from writing the manuscript to layout, cover design, and finally marketing. Box ticked!

What have you learned?

I learned that the authors and designers within the indie community are a supportive bunch! I also learned that Amazon is a force to be reckoned with.
