Inspirational Indie Author Interview. Rachel McLean: Kindle Storyteller Award Winner Writes Thrillers That Make You Think

My ALLi author guest this episode is Rachel McLean, winner of the 2021 Kindle Storyteller Award who enjoys writing crime thrillers that also make you think. The key to Rachel's success, she says, is to strike a balance between what you enjoy writing and what you know readers will buy. I'll let Rachel explain in her own words.

  1. Thank you, Rachel, for this inspirational podcast. I published my debut mystery thriller in 2020 and am releasing my second (stand-alone) in April. It’s great hearing about your success and how you built up your sales and readership. I too spent a lot of time moving from business writing to creative writing and am still learning. Thanks again.

  2. Thank you for this wonderful podcast! I’ve been published for around the same time as Rachel McLean (and took fifteen years with my first book!) and am working so hard to find that sweet spot. I write full time but am not yet where I know I can be. I am passionate about writing Australian mystery, crime, and suspense so found this inspiring to hear. Phillipa
