Favourite Christmas Books
Many people have a list of favourite books for the Holiday Season, books that they read as children and have passed on to their grandchildren.
For those who celebrate Christmas, all-time favourites must be How the Grinch Stole Christmas! by Dr. Seuss; The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (Chronicles of Narnia, #1) by C.S. Lewis; The Nutcracker by E.T.A. Hoffmann; The Night Before Christmas by Clement Moore, Tasha Tudor and A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.
Just imagine turning off the television, loading up your Kindle or Nook or some other e-reader (or picking up a book) and curling up on your couch with some great self- published Christmas Classics. Sounds good doesn’t it?
This year, we are going to add to the reading list with a Festive Season Showcase where ALLi members tell the world about their amazing holiday books.
So, ALLI members, this is your chance to add your own self-published books to the list of Holiday Season favourites.
Looking Forward to Kwanza and Hanukkah Books
Our Showcase is not only a celebration of Christmas reads. If you celebrate Kwanza or Hanukkah or any other year-end festival and have written a book relating to these festivals; please send the info to our inclusive celebratory Showcase.
What we Need from you
Just like the weekly Showcase, we will need some links (your website url and also where the books are sold), a great image and a 250 – 300 word blurb. Please mark it clearly HOLIDAY in the subject line.
Send your contributions to: [email protected]
The Holiday Season Showcase will appear on 15 December 2014, so make sure you get your material to me by 10 December.
Sorry, but this is only for members of the Alliance of Independent Authors. But new members are always welcome – if you'd like to join, click here.
