  1. Wow! Learned a lot. I wonder if theres any difference in strategy with golden trifecta with children’s book since we’re trying to reach children but there are gatekeepers–parents, teachers etc. Who do we write the blurb for?

    1. If the parents are the ones purchasing the book, then the blurb should be directed at them AND convey what they are hoping to find for their child. You’re onto the right idea. 🙂

  2. How are your books distributed? Print? P.O.D.? Ebooks?
Can an indie author get reviews? How could an indie author get on bestseller lists without reviews? Thanks.

    1. My books are available in print, digital, and audio.

Yes, Indies can get reviews. One of my books has over 2K. Most people won’t think to leave a review if they liked your book. Ask them nicely when someone mentions they liked it.

You don’t need reviews to hit a list.

You don’t need to hit a list to make decent money as an Indie author. I was making 6 figures a year before I hit any lists.
