My guest this episode is Sarah Banham, an author who admits that she is so restless that she refuses to be pinned down to one genre. Her fiction and nonfiction work keep her excited about writing, and she also helps other authors find their own voices. It wasn't until she turned forty that she gained the confidence to do this on her own, and she has not stopped since.

Self-Publishing News: Readers of All Ages Turn to YA Fiction for Solace
As so often happens, this weekβs weekend roundup has seen a rather nice theme emerge. That theme is something of interest to indies, who write a lot in this area. That theme is YA literature.
Thanks for coming Susan! π
Thank you Susan – great preso!
Reading Lisa’s comment above reminds me exactly how I felt when I launched my book in Nov. And it was just about the time I started reading your survival guide Sue. I let out a big sigh of relief. lol
Thanks for addressing so much of what goes thru our heads. I had a lot of the fears and felt so vulnerable once my baby was out for the world to see. And you’re so right. Those vulnerabilities are because we put our passion out there. Not everyone will like it. But that’s ok. And right now I’m writing something way out of my comfort zone and that gives me plenty of fear. I almost didn’t do it. We shall see what happens. π
Thanks Sue!
This. Is. Me. In a nutshell. I was in tears moments ago, but thank you! Today is the official release for my book, and I’ve been mired in this thought process through the entire journey. Again, thank you!
Hello, Lisa! And I’m sorry for making you cry, but not really. π I hope it came with the realization that you’re awesome and you can do ALL OF THIS. Congrats on the release of your book! You are doing a wonderful and brave thing!
Very inspirational and informative Susan Thank you!
Thanks for stopping by!
Fabulous discussion. Thanks!
Thank you, Julie!
Susan, this is a wonderful video and very spot on for where I am in my journey right now. I especially love the part about taking creative action. I, too, have a project that seemed bigger than me, and just last week, I plotted it out. While you were talking, I kept thinking how it isn’t as scary as it was in the beginning. OMG, what if I weakened the idea some how? And then you said that the fear dissipates, and I’m smiling. So thank you! Very helpful. π
Yay! So glad I could help make that connection for you! π And it’s it hilarious how that sneaky fear just keeps finding new ways to express itself??
Love this! Thank You!
You are most welcome!
I read a number of your Survival Guide posts as they went up on your blog, and they were super helpful and informative! Thanks for creating such a great resource for writers π
Thanks so much for following along!
