Self-Publishing Events At The London Book Fair 2022

Self-Publishing Events at The London Book Fair 2022

The London Book Fair has been a key date for the Alliance of Independent Authors since we launched there in 2012 and we've rounded a list of the most significant self-publishing events at London Book Fair 2022. Our thanks to Sam Missingham of The Empowered Author for help in compiling this list.

The Alliance of Independent Authors will celebrate its 10th anniversary at the London Book Fair 2022. The team will be in attendance in force for this anniversary year, with team members flying in from the US and all over Europe to be there live. And two Aussie members will be with us too!

  • If you're attending, you can you can get 50% off a visitor ticket by using the code ALLi50 at checkout. Scroll down to read all about the key live self-publishing events at the fair.

Note: all attendees of the London Book Fair must adhere to the venue's COVID-19 entry requirements and are required to provide one of the following:

  • proof of full course of vaccination;
  • proof of negative COVID test within the last 48 hours (Lateral flow test is accepted); or
  • proof they are exempt on the basis of an approved medical exemption or clinical trial participation.

For full details, please refer to the full guidelines here

BUT of course:

  • ALLi is a global organization and most of our members cannot attend live so our main event will be online, when we'll bring the fair to our members, in a special mini-self-publishing conference, #MiniSelfPubCon2022. Click on the invitation to learn more about our online celebrations and ten-word story competition.

Scroll down to read about our Stand, and the self-publishing events at London Book Fair 2022. We look forward to seeing you live or online!

ALLi 10th anniversary online invitation

We couldn't have done any of it with you. Let's celebrate!

London Book Fair 2022: Meet ALLi at Stand ID48

ALLi's stand (ID48), is where authors who are interested in self-publishing can drop by for advice, networking, and a copy of our member magazine. And where our members will showcase their books.

We have panel sessions at the Author HQ and Writers’ Summit (see below), and a 10th anniversary drinks party for our members, sponsored by Amazon KDP.

If you write and (want to) publish your own work, we'd love to get to know you. Even more so if we already know you online. This year, as we celebrate our 10th anniversary, and as the London Book Fair returns post-pandemic, in-person connection is more prized and precious than ever.

If you're nervous about attending, or if you want to make sure you make the most of the fair, read our Ultimate Guide to Book Fairs for Indie Authors.

Margaret Skea Self-Publishing Volunteer Organizer London Book Fair 2022

Margaret Skea

We'd like to say a big thank you to the authors who have agreed to volunteer on our stand this year and to Margaret Skea, our volunteer organizer.
