Whether you’re struggling with a specific part of the process (finding fans, blog tours, book launches), a publishing tool (KDP select, Smashwords, GoodReads), or just don’t know what step to take next, Shannon and Toni, the Toni and I are known as the Duolit team — we’re kind of like Captain Planet’s Planeteers, except our special powers are best used to save hard-working indies. In our travels around the world wide web, we've found our author friends are often held back from success by a handful of questions or hurdles they just can’t seem to solve on their own.
That’s why we and the good folks at The Alliance of Independent Authors have created the ALLi Author Circle.
Our three years of indie publishing experience are now at your disposable once a month, right in the comfort of your favorite coffee shop, library, or (if you’ll have us) inside your living room.
Through the power of Google Hangouts, you can join us on the third Thursday of every month, in a cosy round-the-table chat with other ALLi members, for an hour-long advice session.
ALLi Author Circle
After a welcome note and a few tips from us, the floor will be open to you. We invite everyone to share questions about self-publishing and book marketing, any problems you're encountering or your current creative challenge, with us and the rest of the group.
Together, we can talk through our experiences and provide you with a solution to keep moving forward.
Video is available (But optional — if you’d like to stay in your PJs that’s fine by us!) as well as audio and a text chat. Whatever part of the world you're in, the flow of conversation is smooth and the atmosphere is always fun!
It’s just like we’ve all gathered in our house to swap stories, learn from each other’s experiences and share in the wisdom of the group.
After each live circle event, we’ll post a YouTube video of the chat for everyone who couldn’t make it (Or for anyone who wants to re-watch to get the goodies a second time.)

How To Take Part
1. On the night, go to to ALLi Author Circle Google Plus page.
2. Fifteen minutes before the event is due to start, you will find a link that will take you to the Google+ Hangout for this evening.
3. If you haven't attended a Google Hangout before, you will have to download a small piece of software (only takes a few seconds).
4. The software will direct you to the Hangout link. Just click on the link and you're in. Choose whether to leave your video on or only have sound.
5. Enjoy and learn.
6. The event will be videoed and the link to the event will be in the ALLi Membership Zone to enjoy indefinitely.
