As I have reported many times, when it comes to using AI tools, the author community is divided—both within itself and, individually, when it comes to what kind of AI we are talking about. Assistive tools are consistently seen as more acceptable and are more readily used than generative ones.
Amazon’s New Generative AI Tools for Advertising
But of course, that’s not always a distinction we can consistently draw. So it will be interesting to see how people respond to Amazon’s latest announcement that it is introducing two new AI-driven tools to help people with their Amazon ads.
AI Creative Studio and Audio Generator are tools designed to assist anyone with Amazon advertising. They are also generative. The tools will bring audio and video creation alongside existing image creation tools.
Audio Generator will allow for the creation of audio ads up to 30 seconds, and audio capability will later be added to the AI Creative Studio package, enabling the creation of complete audiovisual content within a single platform. Amazon’s Jay Richman describes the company’s goal as one of breaking down barriers. “From images to video and now audio, we are removing creative barriers for advertisers and unlocking new audiences and opportunities that weren’t possible just a year ago.” Jay is certainly right that tools are available now that we could never have imagined a year ago. I am sure the next year will see even more.
