Milestone
I got the bestseller flag in the Religious Romance catagory on Amazon.
Why are you proud?
The hundreds of sales that got me the bestseller flag were prompted by me shouting out in an audience participation part of a comedy gig about non-essential workers. The comedian mocked the title of one of my books, The Christmas Genie's Wish, and chose me as by far the most non-essential author in the audience. He later bought my book and posted about it on social media.
What have you learned?
Never be afraid to speak up about my books.

Jerry VanSchaik: Coffee and writing have been lifelong passions of mine. An internship with the Saturday Evening Post in the fall of 2016 gave me the confidence to write my coffee novels, Tripio, The Trier, and those that will follow. Find out more on the website.
Milestone
My second coffee novel, The Trier is coming out June 1st.
Why are you proud?
Because I was patient in the process, worked on the craft of writing daily, and was able to find a great team to produce this book.
What have you learned?
I've found that writing on a daily basis, as part of a larger meditative self-care practice, rewards me far more than any outward recognition likely ever will.

Milestone
The 6th book in my Last Brigade series sold 1,000 copies within the first week. That is only the 3rd time that has happened.
Why are you proud?
It represents a sustainable level of accomplishment, that only comes through relentless hard work.
What have you learned?
That selling as an indie is a never-ending, never-slowing process.
Have recently published a book – Short Story, Verse, Commentary by Colin H Coles. It’s my first book by Colin Coles. Received congratulations online and complimented on cover. I hope to sell a few copies at a book event on July 8th. A journal has asked for a copy to review. My previous books have been by Sam Grant. I enjoy writing and am adapting one of my Sam Grant publications to a screen script, which is challenging.
A library has remarked that I have been noticed as an author and one library group are interested in my new book.
