Register for the 2026 Self-Publishing Advice Conference (SelfPubCon26) and you’ll automatically be entered into our free SelfPubCon26 Prize Draw, with a fantastic selection of prizes up for grabs.

We’ve teamed up with generous partners of ALLi (The Alliance of Independent Authors) to offer prizes covering everything from editing and book design to publishing, marketing, author websites, and more.

The prize draw is open to independent authors and aspiring independent authors aged 18 and over, and there’s no purchase or separate entry fee required. Simply register for SelfPubCon26 and you’ll be automatically entered.

One entry per person. Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries, with the number of winners depending on the prizes available.

The prize draw is open from the launch of SelfPubCon26 registration until 11.59pm (UK time) on 18 October 2026.

The SelfPubCon26 Prize Draw: Terms and Conditions

  • The SelfPubCon26 Prize Draw is being run by the Self-Publishing Advice Conference (SelfPubCon), in association with the Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi).
  • The Prize Draw is open to independent authors and aspiring independent authors aged 18 and over. No purchase or entry fee is necessary.
  • Employees, consultants or agencies of the Self-Publishing Advice Conference, Orna Ross, or ALLi, their family members, or anyone else directly connected with the Prize Draw or the prize providers, may not enter.
  • One entry per person is permitted. By registering for the 2026 Self-Publishing Advice Conference (SelfPubCon26), eligible entrants will be automatically entered into the Prize Draw.
  • The Prize Draw opens when registration for SelfPubCon26 opens and closes at 11.59pm (UK time) on 18 October 2026. Registrations received after this date will not be considered.
  • Winners will be selected at random from all eligible Prize Draw entries received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  • The number of winners will depend on the prizes available. Each winner will receive one of the prizes allocated to them from the Prize Draw prize pool alongside a complimentary eBook copy of Creative Self-Publishing by ALLi Director, Orna Ross. Prizes are subject to availability and may be substituted with a prize of equal or greater value where necessary.
  • Winners will be contacted using the email address provided when registering for SelfPubCon26. If a winner does not respond within a reasonable period, SelfPubCon/ALLi reserve the right to select an alternative winner.
  • Winners may be announced on the ALLi and SelfPubCon websites, in The Indie Author, ALLi’s member magazine, and in member and subscriber emails.
  • Winners may be required to take part in reasonable promotional activity related to the SelfPubCon26 Prize Draw. By accepting a prize, winners agree that SelfPubCon and ALLi may use their name, photograph, image and/or voice for reasonable publicity and promotional purposes relating to the Prize Draw and SelfPubCon, including on websites, social media, email communications, advertising and other promotional materials.

Legal T&Cs

  • By entering the SelfPubCon26 Prize Draw, you agree to the collection, retention and use of your personal information for the purposes of administering the Prize Draw, contacting you about your entry and, where applicable, delivering your prize.
  • Entrants may also receive emails from SelfPubCon containing conference news, offers and updates of interest. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the email footer. Unsubscribing from marketing emails will not affect your Prize Draw entry.
  • SelfPubCon/ALLi do not accept responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering or accepting a prize, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
  • SelfPubCon/ALLi do not accept responsibility for any injury or damage to your or any other person’s computer, device or equipment relating to or resulting from participation in the Competition or downloading any materials in connection with the Prize Draw, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
  • SelfPubCon/ALLi reserve the right at any time to modify, suspend or discontinue the SelfPubCon26 Prize Draw, temporarily or permanently, where circumstances outside their reasonable control make this necessary, including in cases of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud.
  • The decision of SelfPubCon/ALLi in matters relating to the administration of the Prize Draw is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into, except where required by law.
  • SelfPubCon/ALLi shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.
  • SelfPubCon/ALLi accept no responsibility for entries that are misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason.
  • The prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and not redeemable for cash or other prizes.

Entrants into the SelfPubCon26 Prize Draw shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.
