Indie Author Fringe began life as IndieRecon, a three-day online conference organized by self-publishers SR Johannes and Ali Cross. In 2015, ALLi was involved for the first time.
- In 2013, the conference debuted as IndieReCon with over 10,000 attendees.
- In 2015 ALLI teamed up with IndieReCon to extend its reach and saw more than 25,000 visitors to a three-day conference.
- In 2016 IndieReCon became Indie Author Fringe and changed to offering three one-day events across the year, in March, June & October, fringe to the three major publishing fairs: The London Book Fair, Book Expo America and Frankfurt Book Fair. And to covering the indie author journey across the year, from Writing & Making A Book (March) to Selling A Book (May) to Running An Indie Author Business & Selling Rights (October).
Attendance currently reaches 100,000+ authors at each event.
