My new novel The Green Door will be published on 23 October. It is a literary mystery with a supernatural twist, the action moving between south London, Norfolk and an isolated Hampshire valley.
The Green Door comes with a plaudit from Shena Mackay: “a nice balance of the chillingly supernatural with a sharply observed contemporary England.”
The book has its launch at 7.30pm on 23 October at Dulwich Books, 6 Croxted Road, London SE21 8SW. Event free; all welcome! Amazon UK Amazon US

Everyone, who stops to think, will agree that our children are our future, yet sadly we read about abused and neglected children in the news all the time.
It is nothing new.
In my novel The Only Blue Door three young children find themselves in a strange country, on the other side of the world, without friends or family. They were among thousands of children who were sent as child evacuees to Australia and Canada during World War II.
It is a heart-breaking story of courage and determination as the children make new lives for themselves.

The paperback version of my new book Delirium: The Rimbaud Delusion was launched this week (20 Oct).
How many times had I dreamt of coming across the yellowing manuscript of La Chasse Spirituelle? Inside an old book on a stall in Paris, perhaps. Or in the attic of some befriended ancient. How many daydreams had I enjoyed over the possibility that one day…? I shook myself. It couldn’t possibly be true.
1872: The explosive love affair between flamboyant French poets Arthur Rimbaud and Paul Verlaine rocks French society. They flee to London, abandoning the manuscript of La Chasse Spirituelle to Verlaine’s scorned young wife.
2004: Andrea Mann, disenchanted with life and love, travels to France. Driven by her obsession with Rimbaud, she’s chasing her dream – the missing manuscript. Beside the poet’s grave at Charleville-Mézières, she meets a beautiful young man who shows her a single page – from La Chasse Spirituelle. Andrea embarks on a desperate quest. Drawn into a manipulative relationship with the youth and his Svengali-like mentor, the mysterious Albert, she faces unwelcome truths.
The ebook of Delirium: The Rimbaud Delusion is on sale everywhere for a few days for 99c / 77p (or less)

After trying book bundles, I’m now experimenting with serializing one of my very long novels, the award-winning, science fiction romance novel, The Key. And I’m making the first part free.
A science fiction/action adventure romance novel
When Sara Donovan joins Project Enterprise she finds out that what doesn’t kill her makes her stronger… An Air Force pilot – the best of the best to be assigned to this mission – Sara isn’t afraid to travel far beyond the Milky Way on an assignment that takes her into a galaxy torn apart by a long and bitter warfare between the Dusan and the Gadi.
The Key is also included in my Top Guns in Time and Space bundle (which also includes my award-winning novel, Out of Time) or can be purchased in its entirety. For more information visit my website.

New Release from Heddon Publishing
This week sees the release of the fifteenth title from Heddon Publishing
Chalk It Up, by Peter M. Clutterbuck, is the third collaboration between Peter and Katharine Smith at Heddon, who have also worked together on The Downunder Kid and My Crazy Uncle Walter.
This latest book is a selection of short stories about teachers and teaching. Peter is extremely well-qualified to write about this subject, having been a teacher for forty years. He’s seen a great deal of change in that time and this is reflected in the stories. However, the tales are largely light-hearted, full of colourful and at times eccentric characters, and reflect Peter’s down-to-earth humour.
Peter decided to go down the independent route and teamed up with UK-based Heddon Publishing to introduce his brilliant novels and short stories to the world.
Chalk It Up will be available on Kindle and in print from Amazon from Monday 20th October.
Write Sites – Web Hosting Service for Indies
I’ve recently launched a web hosting service called Write Sites, geared directly to independent authors.
As an indie myself, I decided that I wanted to give back to the community in the form of inexpensive website hosting without a lot of the restrictions that come from the free providers.
