A Bed of Barley Straw
Lovers of romance; paperback, ebook
A Bed of Barley Straw is a delightfully frustrating tale of passion, love and mistrust. Two strong-willed, damaged people are about to ignite a fire-storm of passion, even as they navigate their deep-seated mistrust for each other.
Meeting for the first time in years, the two feel a strong attraction completely at odds with their antagonistic attitudes.
A Bed of Barley Straw is a scorching romance in the beautiful surrounds of an English Country Estate.
Had me gripped from start to finish.
Readers will enjoy the world painted through the descriptions of the surroundings and locations.
AWARDS
Julie Stock
My debut contemporary romance, From Here to Nashville has won a Gold Star in the prestigious Ebook Cover Awards run by The Book Designer, Joel Friedlander, every month. The cover was designed in consultation with Design for Writers.
As my debut romance has a country music theme, we wanted the cover to be a balance between both of those elements, as well as setting it against the Nashville skyline. We also wanted it to be a bit different to most other book covers in the romance genre.
Joel's comments were as follows: ‘A beautiful cover with typography that evokes the country music theme of the book, and a great color scheme. It sings.'
I have had lots of positive feedback about the cover from readers as well, proving that we got the balance right.
From Here to Nashville is out now on Amazon everywhere in both print and ebook form.
INTERVIEWS
Rohan Quine
Video interview of Rohan Quine by Ingram
YouTube viewership; online video interview
Towards the end of 2014 the book distributor Ingram patiently sat through a few minutes of me wittering at them on camera about my five published tales so far, and they’ve now uploaded their nifty edit of that interview to their IngramSpark channel on YouTube.
That video, along with a transcription of my on-camera babbling and rabbiting, is embedded here.
For their hard work and generosity in arranging this filming of me and others at their I.A.F. 2014 in London in November, many thanks to Triskele Books and to Ingram’s Andy Bromley and Emily Wright who were interviewing.

I've put the recording from my interview on BBC London 94.9FM up on my website here.
I mention ALLi and can be heard extolling the merits of networking within the author community.
