Every Wednesday ALLi will tell the world about our members' latest book launches, news, awards, freebies, workshops and updates on the writing life — our #WriterWednesday (#WW) update.
My newest book is live on Amazon. It's a 90 page guide on the career phases of Indie publishing, with what to expect and do at different phases, along with set up and marketing tips. The TOC is listed with the book blurb on my website.
Here's the blurb:
Authorpreneur: a noun. A professional author/entrepreneur who strives to improve in all areas of the publishing business: writing, publishing and marketing.
What does it really take to make it as an author? What are realistic production and promotion costs? Do many people make money publishing ebooks, and how much?
“Authorpreneur” takes a look at what’s involved in independent publishing and you can expect at different career phases such as:
- Starting Out with ebook publishing
- Multi-published author
- Earning $500 per month and growing
- And even feeling stuck in writing and marketing
“Authorpreneur” is filled with tips you can do during set up, how to get sales moving again, and all the strategies I’ve used to sell more books, doubling my sales every year and tripling my income.
I have just published my sixth book on Kindle, a collection of 32 flash fiction stories called “Long Stories Short”
I also have a video of one of my stories done in motion typography, “Just Aphasia Going Through”
Nail Your Novel: Bring Characters To Life is now out in print! Phew, I think that's all the platforms covered now.
204 pages long – yes, much bigger than the first Nail Your Novel. Fully indexed. Pages to dog-ear, scribble on, receive coffee stains and the sweat of your genius brow.
Contains discussions of all the books it’s leaning on in the photos, and many more besides.
Laura from the Colorimetry blog has invited Triskele Books to share their entire collection.
For each day of the week, starting 26th May, a different Triskele Books author will be interviewed, and will offer a free e-copy giveaway of their book. And on Launch Day – June 1st – it’s the Big Giveaway.
All seven of the Triskele Books will be on offer for a signed paperback giveaway of whichever book(s) readers choose.
Picnic at the Iron Curtain: From the Fall of the Berlin Wall to Ukraine’s Orange Revolution, a memoir by Susan Viets, won a 2013 Next Generation Indie Book Awards finalist’s award.
There is a reception for award winners in New York City on May 29.
Picnic at the Iron Curtain is also a 2012 Foreword’s Book of the Year Award finalist.
My memoir, Hippie Boy: A Girl's Story is on sale for 99 cents – usually $4.99 ( May 28 – May 29) on Amazon, BN.com and Kobo
I help run a teen mentoring/publishing program and today we launched our new teen story collection (true stories about issues teens face and the harm of labels) on Amazon. The eBook is available now and the paperback launches at our book launch party on June 6th. It's a powerful book and all proceeds go back to help fund the program. Here's a link to it on Amazon US and Amazon UK as well.
If you are a member of The Alliance of Independent Authors and you would like to showcase your work on our Writers' Wednesdays, please send it it [email protected] to reach me no later than the Friday preceding the Wednesday you would like it published.
