Advertising Opportunities for Alli Members on Writing.ie
Writing.ie is the national Irish writing resources website. It has recently been revamped and now, in a partnership agreement, offers great advertising opportunities for members of The Alliance of Independent Authors.
According to Vanessa Fox O'Loughlin, founder and managing director of the Group, the website has had over 30,000 views since Jan 1st, so they have good stats.
“Essentially we've got a featured book position that is €25 a week, plus banner advertising for anyone who really wants to push their book”, she explains. Please take a look at this link.
She explains that they can offer editorial support to all members in the writing&me section that is linked from the homepage each week – they just need 750-1000 words on the author and their writing. And if members want to tie advertising in with a promotion (free Kindle etc) they can schedule promotions. All you need to do is contact Vanessa. 087 2835382

The e-book version of my thriller TALION will be on sale for $0.99 January 27-February 2.
Meet Rad Sanders, the most terrifying serial killer you will ever encounter, in a thriller unlike any you have ever read…
Lu Jakes lives with her alcoholic father and abusive stepmother, Noreen, at Hidden Creek Lodge in the Utah mountains. When the beautiful Lisa is sent by her protective parents to stay at the lodge for the summer, Lu makes her first real friend – dangerously unaware that Lisa's is not the only new face at the resort.
For Lisa has been followed by Rad Sanders, a sadistic killer who has plans for the girls – sick plans that will drag them and their families to the very brink of hell. Rad stalks Lu and Lisa, waiting for his moment, certain that his deadly plan cannot fail.
But unknown to Rad, Lu has a secret. She can see things that nobody else can see: the spirit Talion and his companions. But are these spirits real or a trick of the mind? And will Lu's special gift help her and Lisa as the killer closes in…
Two worlds. Two species. One terrifying secret.
In 2163, a polluted and overcrowded Earth forces humans to search for a new home. But the exoplanet they target, Exilon 5, is occupied. Having already begun a massive relocation programme, Bill Taggart is sent to monitor the Indigenes, the race that lives there. He is a man on the edge. He believes the Indigenes killed his wife, but he doesn’t know why. His surveillance focuses on the Indigene Stephen, who has risked his life to surface during the daytime.
Stephen has every reason to despise the humans and their attempts to colonise his planet. To protect his species from further harm, he must go against his very nature and become human. But one woman holds a secret that threatens Bill’s and Stephen’s plans, an untruth that could rip apart the lives of those on both worlds.
BECOMING HUMAN, book 1 in the Exilon 5 trilogy, is available to purchase exclusively from Amazon UK and US until Mid March. It will then be available from Smashwords in other formats.
Please join me on my blog hop from 28th January to 8th February for several chances to win a Kindle copy of my book. For details of all the stops, please check out my website.
Chris Casburn (writing as Christopher Joyce)
The Creatures of Chichester had its official launch this month supported by a half page feature in The Chichester Observer.
This first book by Christopher Joyce is targeted at 7 to 12 year olds and was made possible by bringing together the talents of fellow Alli members Jane Dixon-Smith who created the cover design and Pauline Nolet who provided proof reading.
The book is now available on Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com. School visits are being planned for this term.
