As one of the few viable alternatives to KDP and Createspace, ALLi is working with Ingram to ensure our members have the greatest access to a range of resources for author-publishers. But there are quite a few discounts and a lot of information to process! So, to ensure we are giving you as much impartial advice on the Ingram service, stay tuned for a full round up and comparison from ALLi watchdog Ben Galley on the SPA blog this week.
Spark is also setting up a user group for feedback during the introductory phase of the platform, which ALLi members are most welcome to join and offer their thoughts. More to follow on that one.
Great to see some of you taking advantage of our 30% discount on ALLi gift vouchers – for those of you that haven’t yet, now is your chance.
ALLi Gift Vouchers mean you can give all your indie friends an Alliance membership. If you are already an existing ALLi member, you can claim 30% back off the usual price of $99/£75/€89 as the vouchers are now included in our affiliate programme.
Simply send your intended recipient your ALLi affiliate code for them to input at sign up, and you’ll receive 30% back. It really is the gift that keeps on giving.

Does ALLI get a Bowker discount for anything? ISBNs or Barcodes?
Are barcodes all that necessary in, for instance, Ingram-Spark markets?
Katheryn Haddad
Kathryn,
IS does require barcodes. However, they will provide one for free when you use their cover template. They will also provide one if you don’t but they will put it anywhere they see fit and you won’t be able to edit or move it if you choose this option.
I often visit your site and have noticed that you don’t update
it often. More frequent updates will give your website
higher rank & authority in google. I know that
writing content takes a lot of time, but you can always help yourself with miftolo’s tools which will shorten the time of creating an article to
a few seconds.
is there a current code for this?
[…] The deal provides ALLi members discounted rates across a range of IngramSpark services including volume discounts on print and reprint orders. Full details on the range of discounts available to ALLi members can be found via ALLi’s Self Publishing Advice blog. […]
As a fairly new author and ALLi member who’s currently involved in the beta-read, editing and revision phase of his first book, I lack knowledge of the publishing process. I’m unsure which path to take – all-inclusive publishing service or independent service providers. I understand and appreciate the value of acquiring the service of a distributor such as Smashwords, but am unsure of the next step. Can someone please offer some advice as well as explain the fee structure announced regarding IngramSpark? Do they deliver the same services, or include such package services as editing, formatting and cover design? I suppose my questions may be answered this week, but I thought I’d get a jump on it. Thanks.
I have tried twice to join ALLi, and have not had word that it worked. How can I find out whether I am now on the rolls, since I would like to sign up for the Ingram Spark discounts, but won’t until I know my membership is in place.
Hi Wes, I will check with Geraldine (our Member Care Manager) but if you haven’t had an email from her, I’d guess that for some reason your payment didn’t come through. Somebody will be in touch with you within 24hours. Thanks so much for your interest in ALLi.
Great news on the Ingram Spark discounts. But I already have an account with them. Started it in November. Wonder if I can get a rebate? Worth asking, I suppose.
We’ll ask for you Kathleen.
