Triskele’s Indie Author Fair Teams Up For IndieReCon Fringe Fest

ALLi_IRC2015-RGB-72dpi-WEB

We're delighted to partner with the wonderful Triskele collective to bring their Indie Author Fair to Foyles, as part of the London Book Fair's Indie Author Fringe Fest.

The Indie Author Fair — which on this occasion will be like a live ALLi members' Showcase — will be part of the third and final day of IndieRecon, Friday 17th April, and take place in Foyles Bookshop, Charing Cross Road, between 16.30 – 19.30 pm, including a drinks reception.

Unable to join in the festivities in person? Well, you shall go to the fair, dear ALLi member, by buddying-up with another author who can attend.  Simply post your book title(s) and genre on the IAF Facebook Group page.

Author buddies will, between them,  be responsible for organising book(s), promotional materials, delivery, their own financial agreement for splitting the cost of table space, and sales made. Only the author attending the Fair need register.

IAF@Foyles is an ALLi Member Showcase, and all authors taking part must be ALLi members.

Booking for the event opens at midday (GMT) today, Friday 27th February,  via the IAF@Foyles Evenbrite page – your exclusive booking code (ALLi Members Only) is IAFALLi15

Places are limited, so get thee hence!

Beyond the Fringe Fest and IndieReCon

If we may paraphrase that well-known ad, this is not just any conference – this is the IndieReCon 2015 conference,  fully free to attend if you're an ALLi member, in person or online, and covering all aspects on getting your book to readers the indie way.

Neither is this solely a three-day event, running from 15 – 17th April inclusive, including the fringe fest. It creates an online repository of education and information on all things indie-publishing which will be available all the way through to IndieReCon2016. All the information and advice will be there to come back to, whenever you need.

ALLi will draw on the topics covered in the conference, with regular tweets, interviews and posts throughout the blogosphere over the next 12 months. ALLi’s Self-Publishing Advice Blog will also have a designated IndieReCon slot.

A Word on Sponsors – Yes, we’re Looking at You

We are also reaching out in this week’s news to our partner members who may be interested in sponsoring a single session at IndieReCon 2015. This is an opportunity to share advice to the wider self-publishing community and gain attention for your own special skills set. And that’s a lot of attention. Created in 2013 by two indie-inspired authors, Ali Cross and SR Johannes, the debut IndieReCon conference attracted 10,000 visitors. That upped to 25,000 attendees in 2014. For 2015, the aim is 50,000 attendees – or more.

To find out more on sponsoring a session, to register your attendance, and keep updated with all the latest news,  go to IndieReCon and also tune in to us via  Facebook and Twitter.

Take 10 – and maybe a new iPad Mini

We’re delighted to welcome new partners FicShelf to our ALLi community. This is a brand new online publishing platform with the aim to help writers and publishing professionals make a living from their craft and to professionalise the world of self-publishing – all music to ALLi ears.

FicShelf  would love if you could take part in a short survey, which takes 10 minutes max, and the chance to win a brand new iPad mini. Just click here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GVWBMWV to take the survey.
