ALLi News: IndieReCon and ALLi go global for 2015

This weeks news from ALLi centres around our newest partnership with the hugely successful IndieReCon online conference, which will run from 15th to the 17th April and culminate in a live readers fair in conjunction with London Book Fair's Book and Screen Week – and our 3rd birthday too!

When people find out that ALLi is not yet three years old, they are usually surprised. If they ask how we have grown so quickly, the answer is always one word: partnership.

From the great author services who support our work with membership and sponsorship, to the organisations from media outlets to other writers' organisations, we couldn't do any of the things we do without them.

We've just agreed another exciting connection, with two great indie authors (and ALLi members) who double-handedly brought the author-publishing world IndieReCon in 2013 and 2014. IndieReCon, run by S. R. (Shelli) Johannes and Ali Cross, has been a highlight in the indie calendar for the past two years. And we're delighted to say we are joining forces in 2015, to take it global and expand the offering.

IndieReCon 2015 will still be an online conference aimed at providing the best advice and education for independent-minded authors across the world but now offering expanded programming and global reach, though ALLi's networks. Online seminars, workshops, discussions and masterclasses will broadcast around the clock throughout The London Book Fair on 15th April and beyond, culminating in a reader-centred Indie Author Fringe Fest live from The London Book Fair’s Book and Screen Week, on Friday 17th April.

Held at Foyles Bookshop, Charing Cross, the largest independent book store in London, the Fringe Fest will offer exciting ways for readers to meet indie authors and discover great reads. In line with ALLi’s mission to be a global organisation for authors everywhere, the event will be live streamed, so authors and readers who can’t be in London can take part online.

Registration for the online conference will remain free and access will remain open to all. As it is also our celebration of our 3rd birthday, we do hope as many as possible of you will join us!

We'll have more details over the coming weeks (including, shortly, a new website and a line-up of knockout speakers) but in the meantime, IndieReCon is welcoming proposals for talks and sponsorship.

You can submit your proposal for talks right here, and we'll be accepting submissions up until the 1st February. If you are interested interested in sponsorship opportunities, get in touch with us directly.
